{"id":1121,"date":"2013-01-31T13:58:49","date_gmt":"2013-01-31T00:58:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/?p=1121"},"modified":"2013-01-31T13:58:49","modified_gmt":"2013-01-31T00:58:49","slug":"protip-setting-up-google-wallet-for-use-outside-of-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/protip-setting-up-google-wallet-for-use-outside-of-usa\/","title":{"rendered":"Protip &#8211; Setting up Google Wallet for use outside of USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"8781ca4f97038dd0d58a1ad8af045721\" data-index=\"3\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-6411751809866006\";\r\n\/* BlogHorizontalSlim *\/\r\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"6442664612\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 468;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 60;\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>So there&#8217;s a lot of things that can be ordered from Google, but many of them require two things:<\/p>\n<p>1) An American IP Address (To make it seem as though you&#8217;re accessing Google from within America)<br \/>\n2) An American credit card<\/p>\n<p>However, thankfully you don&#8217;t\u00a0<strong>actually<\/strong> need an American credit card and we can make use of your NZ Credit Card.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll show you how to setup your Google Wallet details so that you can order music, devices, and pretty much everything from the Google Play Store!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Get started by logging in to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/wallet\/\">http:\/\/www.google.com\/wallet\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When you login, you should see a list of your Transactions such as games you&#8217;ve purchased on your Cellphone. Click on the &#8220;Cog&#8221; icon up the top-right hand side (Next to Help) to be taken to your Account Settings<\/p>\n<p>You should now see: Language, Notifications, Legal Name, Home Address and Phone Number.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re going to modify your Home Address first of all, set it to the following:<br \/>\nUnited States<br \/>\n19825 Hamilton Avenue<br \/>\n(Leave a blank line)<br \/>\nTorrance<br \/>\nCalifornia 90502<\/p>\n<p>Then, hit the Save button.<\/p>\n<p>Next, edit your Phone Number, set it to &#8220;+1&#8221; followed by &#8220;(310) 212-7143&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When you&#8217;re finished, it should look like this:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wallet-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1122\" alt=\"wallet-2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wallet-2.png\" width=\"371\" height=\"157\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wallet-2.png 371w, http:\/\/www.c2s.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wallet-2-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice the &#8220;Address Book&#8221; tab along the top. We&#8217;re going to add in a new Shipping Address, set the details to the following:<br \/>\nUnited States (US)<br \/>\nKelvin Logistics<br \/>\n19825 Hamilton Ave<br \/>\nTorrance<br \/>\nCalifornia 90502<br \/>\n+1\u00a0(310) 323-7942<\/p>\n<p>Hit save and that should be all good to go!<\/p>\n<p>So far so good, now we&#8217;ll set your Credit Card details. Go to Payment Methods on the left-hand side and remove your existing credit card.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re goinig to click on &#8220;Add a credit or debit card&#8221; up the top. Type in your Card Number, Expiry, and your Security code. Select the newly entered address that you used as your Delivery Address (Kelvin Logistics) and hit the Save button. You can order anything from Music, to Movies to Apps and more!<\/p>\n<p>Because Google isn&#8217;t going to ship you anything physical, you don&#8217;t have to worry about the address details too much, however in case you were wondering we&#8217;ve specified the American offices of ship2u.co.nz which you can use as a shipping forwarding service to NZ.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s pretty much all there is to the Wallet setup.
